How To Keep Your Dispensary Bills More Manageable

Are you tired of walking out of the marijuana dispensary having spent way more than you planned to spend?  With so many awesome new products to try, it is easy to go over budget. However, there are some ways to keep yourself in check and keep your marijuana dispensary bills more manageable.

Buy pre-rolls rather than bulk flower

If you are only buying a small amount of flower and you plan on smoking that flower in a joint or blunt, then consider just buying a pre-roll instead. Dispensaries often make pre-roll joints from the smaller buds and pieces they are not able to sell as bulk flower. These smaller buds and pieces are just as good, just not as pretty, and it is all the same once they are ground up and rolled. Because the marijuana dispensary could not otherwise sell this flower, they tend to sell pre-rolls for less than bulk flower.

Ask for samples rather than buying new products to sample them

Rules about samples vary from dispensary to dispensary, and also from state to state. So, this strategy may not work everywhere, but it is worth a try. If you find a product you want to try, then ask about samples before you just outright buy the product. The marijuana dispensary may have some smaller samples they can send home with you, either free of charge or for less than the smallest package of that product for sale. For instance, if you have never tried live resin before, then the marijuana dispensary may have single-use samples they are able to hand out so that you do not have to start with an expensive package you are not sure you will like.

Consider getting a medical card

If you are using marijuana for therapeutic purposes, then you may want to look into getting a medical card rather than buying it recreationally. In many states, medical patients pay less than recreational customers. You can get access to the same products but pay a lower price. The list of health problems for which you might be able to get a medical marijuana card has grown recently in some states, so you may be covered now if you were not covered previously.

Visiting the dispensary is more fun when you do not walk out with a bill that is too large. Implement the tips above to keep your bills more manageable.
